SHEEP HUNTS: ONE MAN'S JOURNEYS TO THE HIGH COUNTRY (284 pages) is, first and foremost, a series of recounted hunting tales. Just getting to the isolated corners of the world these high-dwelling mammals call home is time-consuming and difficult. Once in sheep country, the hunter must contend with terrain that's high, steep and tough to navigate. The physical demands are considerable. Constant climbing, often with all one's equipment on one's back, demands fitness and durability. Hunting in the mountains also requires mental toughness. Dealing with atrocious weather, less-than-ideal food, sleep deprivation and frustration for days on end tends to erode one's sense of purpose. But, mountains are also glorious places where beautiful vistas abound, and a unique ecosystem awaits discovery. In the universe of hunters, few are fortunate enough to experience the agony and the ecstasy of a sheep hunt. For those who have been there, SHEEP HUNTS will resonate; for the many more who are intrigued by the prospect, the book will provide the reader, whatever his or her hunting experience, with insights into the world of mountain hunting. More than that, the book is written so that the reader feels like he or she is accompanying the author as he experiences natural beauty and stalks sheep; deals with trials and tribulation; and lives with emotional ups and downs. ONLINE PURCHASE SHIPPING: A purchase of any item online that requires shipping will be fully at the expense of the purchaser. Any customs, duty or shipping charges will be borne fully by the buyer. The Wild Sheep Society of BC (WSSBC) is organized to benefit wild sheep by generating funds by auctioning items donated by individuals and/or companies.
Any bid made at a WSSBC auction, whether in person at a live auction, by phone, online or at a silent auction, constitutes an unconditional offer to buy the item in question at the price bid. Unless a higher and subsequent bid is made, your bid creates a binding contract of purchase, obligates you to sign the bid ticket or, in the case of a phone or online bid, authorizes the person who took the bid to sign on your behalf AND requires that the bid amount be paid prior to the close of the auction. In the event that the successful bid was made by phone or online, the bid price must be received before the close of the fifth business day after the close of the auction.
Any failure of compliance with the provision above will result in the addition of any costs incurred because of non-compliance, plus the addition of interest at the rate of 1% per month, or portion thereof, that payment is late. Auction items must be paid for by the close of Convention. Payments will be taken at the auction payment table after the evening auction. Payments can be made by cash, check, Visa and MasterCard. If the winner of an auction refuses to pay the winning bid price plus any premiums required, the item shall be offered to the next highest bidder for the price he/she bid. If the next highest bidder declines the item or if the second highest bidder is unknown, the President shall dispose of the item at his/her discretion.
ONLINE BIDDING: All online bidders will be required to pay a 5% buyer’s premium up to a maximum of $250. Proceeds will go to WSSBC's Conservation Initiatives.
You will also be asked to provide the following information: Full Name, Email address, Address, Phone number, Credit card number, which an AVS is completed (Address Verification System) All purchases over the amount of $10,000 will require a call back from WSSBC Auction Team for verification.

FIREARMS: Before taking possession of your purchased firearm, the gun must be registered in compliance with all federal, state, and local firearms laws.

WSSBC AUCTION ITEM POLICY:
All goods in the live and silent auctions and fund-raising areas have been acquired or obtained from third parties. The purchaser acknowledges that the goods have not been inspected by WSSBC, and is advised, in the case of firearms, knives, bullets, or other weapons to obtain a competent inspection and test of the goods before use. The goods sold in both the live and silent auctions are sold ‘’AS IS” with all faults and defects, and without any express or implied warranty on the part of WSSBC. WSSBC provides no warranties of fitness and expressly disclaims the same. WSSBC does not accept any liability or responsibility for any product, design, or use. Any written warranties on the goods delivered to the high bidder are those solely of the manufactures, and/or their agents, and shall be the sole liability and responsibility of the manufacturer.
All services, hunts, or otherwise, in the live and silent auctions and fund-raising areas have been acquired for and are to be furnished by third parties and contain the same reservation set forth under “goods” above. No services in the live auction are to be or will be performed by WSSBC. WSSBC shall bear no responsibilities for the delivery or quality of any of the services, or for any loss or damages arising from or related to or connected with the performance or non-performance of such services. The purchaser also acknowledges that in the event that services are purchased, WSSBC cannot be responsible for or liable for any political unrest or instability that may occur outside the United States. WSSBC cannot be accountable for any injuries or damages that may arise there from. WSSBC reserves the right to add items to the auctions as additional donations become available. Only WSSBC exhibitors may solicit and/ or market to permit buyers or attendees on the expo or auction floor during our conventions. Solicitation by non-exhibitors violates WSSBC Exhibit policy and is prohibited.
